Missouri Valley College announced the promotion of Pat Giangrosso to head coach of the men’s wrestling program soon after MVC announced Mike Machholz would leave the program to take over as Athletic Director for the college.
According to a news release, Giangrosso graduated from Missouri Valley in 2003, where he was a four-year letterman, two time All-American (2000 and 2003), and a member of the 2003 National Championship team.
Giangrosso joined the coaching staff during the 2003-04 season and became the Assistant Head Coach of the men’s wrestling program in 2015.
Giangrosso is replacing Mike Machholz, who retired from the position after he was promoted to Athletic Director. Machholz had previously served as the head coach of the program since 1994.
